Certified Facility

CAT’s world-class facilities including more than 24,000 sq/ft of aquarium space certified for containment of aquatic animal pathogens allows us to work with both domestic and non-native aquatic species and pathogens, mimic their environmental conditions, and carry out a diverse range of trials to deliver the results you can use.

Laboratory Services

The in-house CAT laboratory adds value for our clients because it provides a one-stop service to assess safety and functionality of novel compounds in an efficient and cost-effective manner before moving into tank-based studies. In-house diagnostic services are used to validate and increase the value of tank-based studies by providing timely and high-quality sample analytics.

Lab-based bioassays:

CAT Health Features:

  • CAT provides integrated services in health, nutrition and genetics to evaluate the safety, effectiveness and mode of action of test materials relative to controls.
  • The CAT team can manufacture and test functional and medicated aquafeeds.

CAT has developed an in-house quality assurance program and is able to conduct trials to GLP/GCP specifications. (GMP coming soon!)

Our extensive library of pathogens from around the world gives our Health team flexibility in designing custom challenge models.

CAT can mimic environmental and husbandry stressors to evaluate the efficacy of proposed treatments or select for resistance.
